Rector’s Remarks for UNESA-Artric Ranking Launching
Dear University Leaders,
It’s a great pleasure to announce that our university has launched a rating instrument called Unesa Artric for measuring the university’s efforts in developing university/institution governance and awareness of arts. Unesa Artric was initiated through a collaboration between Unesa Ranking Division and Unesa’s Directorate of Center of Excellence in Arts and Culture. UNESA ARTRIC is a ranking of arts that can be followed by universities both nationally and internationally. UNESA ARTRIC is intended to measure the efforts of universities in utilizing and producing creative works in developing awareness of artistic diversity. Because art is not easily assessed objectively and quantitatively, given the many qualitative variables associated with assessing the quality of works of art as creative works, this art ranking is not intended to assess works of art, but rather focused on the efforts of universities in developing awareness of the diversity of works of art through creative works. Unesa Artric, conducted based on the perspective that universities that place art as an integrated part in its management, have actually contributed to upholding human civilization. The target objects in the ranking of art include the branch of performing arts, the branch of fine arts, and the branch of design art.
