
FBS Introduces Various Art and Culture to Students Late in Art and Culture Bootcamp
Through In this activity, students are invited to explore cultures that exist abroad, such as traditional dances and clothing from Germany, the art of rope tying and Chinese paper cutting, acting and learning traditional arts such as singing and dancing.
On Tuesday, July 4 2023, the participants explored keroncong music with Anisa Kusuma Pratama, an FBS student. Students are invited to immediately try singing one of the famous keroncong songs created by Gesang, Bengawan Solo.
Yoga Yan Wardana, a ballet student who has been involved in drama for a long time, on this occasion guided the students to act imitating animals and demonstrating an activity without making a sound, only with movement.
No what was left behind, students were invited to understand the Glipang dance and accompanied by Andri Muhammad Rehan and Fadma Wahyu Rositasari, students of the 2021 class ballet. This dance depicts the daily life of the people during the colonial period.
On the previous day, the bootcamp participants were invited to learn German traditional dances and an introduction to traditional German clothing and were guided by German language education study program students.
They also taught to make the art of knots or what can be called rope ties originating from China. Participants also learned how to make paper cutting, the art of Double Xin paper cutting which means lots of happiness.
Tiffany Qorie, S.S., M.TCSOL., the lecturer who accompanied the participants in the bootcamp said that the purpose of holding this bootcamp was to introduce various cultures at home and abroad as well as introduce the outside community to what knowledge can be learned at FBS .
“ Apart from introducing children in a fun way, this is also an opportunity for students to train how to teach children directly, in accordance with the image of our campus, an educational campus that excels, one of which is in the arts," he concluded. []
