Students of SMKN 3 Batu Learn Building Construction Drawing Skills with the UNESA Team

As for The PKM that they carried out at the school was in the form of counseling on making building construction drawings for students of SMK N 3 Batu, early July 2023. The counseling which was attended by 19 students and school teachers used the AutoCAD application.

Activity The sessions which were held began with an introduction to building construction plans, as well as demonstrations and introductions to how to operate the AutoCAD software. Next, namely learning to make simple building drawings.

" After this counseling, it is hoped that students will be more diligent in maintaining their learning equipment, such as computers and software in the laboratory and of course understand how to draw anti-complicated buildings," said Drs. Djoni Irianto, MT., head of PKM.

After Therefore, students are invited to learn to operate the software owned by the Vocational High School to find out the certainty of the existence of buildings in the zone for the development of drawing technical innovations.

On the next session, the PKM team conveyed about the parts of the building. "AutoCAD is a technique-based design program that can be used in building construction planning and urban planning. We explain to students how to learn AutoCAD, how to use the 2016 and other versions, make designs, and so on," he explained.

Djoni Irianto said that this training aims to equip students with the ability to use AutoCAD in drawing building constructions according to scientific standards. In addition, it also improves students' skills in using the application according to their needs and demands.

In This PKM, he concluded that there was an increase of 12.60% after the counseling was carried out. In addition, there were 7 students who received a score of 100. In practice, the material was sent to students prior to the counseling.

As for the lecturers involved in this PKM team are Drs. Djoni Irianto, MT. as chairman in the field of civil engineering expertise; Dr. Ir. H. Soeparno, MT. as member II in the field of educational expertise; Dr. Agus Wiyono, S.Pd., MT. as member III in the field of educational expertise; Hendra Wahyu Cahyaka, ST., MT. as member IV in the field of education expertise, as well as 2 students of Building Engineering Education (PTB).
